For a start I rarely, less than once every 3 or 4 months, eat out for a hamburger. The only reason I even considered eating one today was I have been meaning to check out Fuddruckers. The last time I had visited a Fuddruckers was about 1987 in Tacoma, Washington. So out of curiosity I had decided to check it out and see if they are as good as I remember. I particularly liked the garnish bar where you can add all the toppings you want yourself. One thing I noted was the garnish bar in the Branson Fuddruckers was not near as extensive as the one I remember.
While eating my hamburger up walks Paul and Kitty Ogg. Now it would have been a bigger coincidence if they were not going to attend the same reunion here in Branson. But even still, Paul and I had made no pre-arrangements to meet, so the chance of us deciding to eat at the same place at the same time considering all the choices for eating in Branson is still a bit coincidental and worth mentioning.
Paul and I had been stationed together in Holy Loch, Scotland back in 1979 - 1981 and we were stationed together again in 1984 - 1988 (those are the years I was there) at Trident Refit Facility, Bangor. I believe Paul retired after his tour at TRF while I went on for a few years afterwards to include another tour of duty in Holy Loch 1989 - 1991.
For those of you former shipmates or those of you who are just interested and will be following the reunion, I am planning on writing a daily blog entry for the events of the previous day. So starting Friday I there will be a daily blog entry of the reunion.
