Yet another change in my plans. I plan to depart for the Boise, Idaho area Wednesday 22 August 2007. Several factors are at work here but there are two main reasons.
First, every time I get near Boise after being gone on an extended adventure I get excited and impatient for returning. This time that anxiousness is increased because I want to get back to see my granddaughter Ellery.
The other reason is my air conditioner stopped working. Fortunately, when I bought my 5th wheel trailer I bought an extended warranty for just such a problem. But the policy expires in a month so I want to get back to Boise where I bought my rig. I bought my Hitchhiker II from Bodily RV in Meridian, Idaho.
I have never used this policy so I want to make sure I have enough time left to get the air conditioning problem resolved well before the policy expires in case there are some residual problems.
Anyway, I plan to depart Idaho Falls Tuesday morning and take US 20 across to Boise. I have never taken this route before. At least not all of it. I have taken US 20 from Mountain Home to The Craters of the Moon National Monument and of course back to Boise. This time I will be driving across the width of Idaho where in the past I took I 84.
I plan to leave early in the morning (at least early for me) and hopefully have enough time to stop off at The Craters of the Moon National Monument and still arrive in Boise early enough to beat the evening commuter traffic.
I plan to stay at the Boise Meridian RV Resort in Meridian. That is where I stayed last fall until I departed for this current adventure.
I will follow up this posting with another probably Wednesday to summarize this final leg of my current but by no means last adventure.
