This is the first of my complaints about unacceptable service I have received. Let me first say this first complaint of Goodyear's, Young's Tire and Service Center, is by no means the worst and in fact may be a little trivial to future complaints that will surely come, but it was just enough on top of all the previous poor service I have received that I thought it worth being the first in this new category. Additionally, this will allow me in the future to more readily register my distaste for poor or unacceptable service in an already established category.
I woke up this morning to realize that I had a slow flat on my F250 Ford pickup's left rear tire. I did a quick Google maps search for the nearest tire service and found Goodyear's, Young's Tire and Service Center, at 840 W. Hampden Ave., Englewood, CO. That is less than 1 mile from where I am staying at the Flying Saucer RV Park.
I went down there and they said they would have it fixed for me in about a half hour or so and I said I was going to go walking around and asked them if they would call me. I have learned a long time ago that time estimates are usually very wrong. I gave them my cell phone number and asked them if they would call me when it was ready and the man at the counter said he would, and I left.
After about an hour or so of walking around downtown Englewood and after having coffee at the Mile High Coffee shop I went back and found that the tire was indeed done. I asked them why they didn't call me and they had no reason. I asked the person at the counter if it didn't matter if I had asked and he said no, it didn't matter that I had asked them to call and that they had said they would.
Perhaps on the grand scheme of things this was minor but I am getting fed up with businesses, or anyone for that matter, that say they are going to do something and don't. Especially, if they just blow it off as unimportant. Well I'm not going to take it anymore. This was the straw that broke the camels back.
Stand warned world, if you give me crappy service your going to read about it right here along with the rest of the world.
