Summary Title : Pause in Travels and Stay in Boise for Birth of First Grandchild
Summary : 17 September 2004 Arrived in Boise, Idaho
With the imminent birth of my first grandchild and that I was getting tired of all the rain, I decided to head on to the Boise area. This summary will be a little different than previous ones. My stay in Boise was, in effect, my placing my travels on hold. I had already realized that this was the life style I wanted but the new circumstance of the birth of my first grandchild, was an important enough reason for me to temporarily halt my travels.
My granddaughter Ellery Dulcena Plumlee, was born Christmas Eve 2004. I arrived in the area well enough ahead of her birth to spend some time with my son and daughter-in-law Jennifer before the birth. In fact I even went with them to view the final Ultra Sound.
When it became time for Ellery to be born I was down with a cold and could not go to the Hospital because of danger of infection. In fact I waited a couple of weeks before I first held the most beautiful baby girl in the world.

For those of you who are travelers I am including the below wireless information for your travels.
I used Verizon Wireless for my Internet connection and virtually all of Central Idaho had fair digital 1X service.
I used Sprint for my Cell Phone (Voice Communications) I had good service in the Treasure Valley area. But when I headed north up into the Cascade Mountains I had very poor service. It was available only in the McCall area. Do to my spending most of a year in the Central Idaho area I decided to stop my Sprint service and switched to Verizon which has the best coverage in this area by far.
Ray Plumlee's Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
