Location :      City : Nashville     State : Tennessee

When :      Any Time

Reason to Visit :      Nationally acclaimed and frequented by celebrities, world travelers and local appetites alike, the Loveless Cafe serves up award-winning country ham and red eye gravy, real Southern-fried chicken, and Nashville's favorite scratch biscuits with homemade preserves cooked right in the kitchen. The Loveless story has been told the world over, from Gourmet Magazine and Bon Appetit to U.S. News and World Report, CBS Television, and People Magazine.

Now to why I want to visit:

Biscuits and gravy, the classic comfort food, has been filling up Southerners for years. It's particularly popular in Nashville, Tenn., where many locals argue the Loveless Café has the best biscuits in the South. In 1952 the Loveless family began baking their famous biscuits, and though the café has changed hands twice over the years, it remains a bastion of Southern cooking.

After the biscuits are baked using Loveless' secret recipe, they're served with a gravy made from sausage, butter, flour, milk and seasonings.

Yum!, Yum! I can't wait until I get to Tennessee to get me some of those biscuits and gravy!
