Reason to Visit :      The Nevada Historical Society Museum is located at 1650 North Virginia Street. It was founded in 1904 and is Nevada's oldest museum. Some of the displays exhibit Native American artifacts, pioneer trinkets, and other assorted cultural memorabilia. One item of interest is their research library which contains records dating from 1859. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10am until 5pm.

Directions:
From US 95, exit at Valley View. Go north Bonanza Road (one street north of the highway) and turn right. Turn left on Twin Lake Drive. Turn right through the first gate into Lorenzi Park and immediately turn right.

The Nevada Historical Society Museum is located on the North side of the University of Nevada-Reno campus, just up the street from Lawlor Events Center and adjoining the Fleischmann Planetarium.

The Nevada Historical Society Museum is a small museum located on the University of Nevada-Reno campus. The museum has typical displays for Nevada. Below is an example. Slot Machines. Pictured are early slot machines including the first 3 wheel slot machine, the Liberty Bell Slot Machine, invented by Charles Fey in San Francisco in 1899.
